Leonard J Moss began active military duty in the Army Reserve in 1956 and trained as an intelligence officer from 1961 to 1963. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain of Military Intelligence in 1968. The government-furnished grave marker was bestowed upon his grave at the Gan Shalom Cemetery to honor his military services.
Len was buried in a Jewish cemetery called Gan Shalom, where we had purchased a family plot and installed a memorial bench a few years ago. Gan Shalom meant “Garden of Peace." It’s nestled among regional parkland and private ranches; a peaceful and tranquil spot in a beautiful wooded setting. The family plot sits at the foot of a small hill covered with evergreen trees. It has good “Feng Shui” in the Chinese geomancy.
